RELEVANT EXPERIENCE


Studio Manager, K/Dub Narcotic Studio, October 2011 to present.
Responsible for maintenance, marketing, billing, booking, and countless other tasks at Dub Narcotic Studio, an analog and digital recording studio associated with K Records. Regularly repair, refurbish, or upgrade tape machines, outboard gear, amplifiers and other odds and ends. Also responsible for digitizing archived recordings from various analog mediums such as tape, cassette, and ADAT. Envisioned and executed the creation of Studio B, mixing and mastering room.

Sound and Stage Tech, Washington Center for the Performing Arts, Dec 2012 to April 2014.
Setup and run audio rigs on the WCPA main stage, WCPA black box, SPSCC main stage, and SPSCC black box for music, theatre, lecture, and other events. Assist Head Carpenter and Head Electrician with other aspects of productions.

Key Grip, Pacific Stage, June 2012 to present.
Setup a wide variety of stage, audio, and lighting systems independently and as part of a team, including Music in the Parks, Lakefair, and the Olympia Symphony Orchestra on the Capitol Lawn. Responsibilities included driving company trailer rigs, outdoor and indoor setups, live mixing, lights, and breakdowns.

Audio Lead, Helsing Junction Sleepover, August 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014
Provided the technical needs for a three day outdoor music festival. Setup stage,     PA, and lights each day and shared live mixing, and lights duties with other engineers.

Sound Coordinator, Northern All Ages Project, Jan. 2010 to November 2014.
Produced live music shows, including full stage and PA setup, live mixing, coordination with bands day of, and managing of door volunteers. Recruited and trained sound volunteers, conducted workshops, maintained and improved the audio setup, and participated in monthly meetings with rest of staff to maintain the space.

Productions Assistant, Evergreen State College Student Activities, Jan. 2011 to June 2011.
Handled live sound, lights, stage, and technical needs for a huge variety of college events, including concerts, lectures, open mics, comedy nights, and movie nights, among many others. Independently designed and implemented setup for small events and worked as part of a team for large ones. Planned shows for the college community including booking, marketing, and technical planning. Trained other employees on sound and light equipment.

Staff, Rising Tide School, September 2009-June 2012.
As part of a staff collective, administered a small democratic school. Served as chair of the school’s democratic body and President of the Board of Trustees. Taught classes, administered school computers, planned and executed fundraisers, participated in budgeting and financial planning. Implemented Salesforce database for school judicial records.
